Based on 280 reviewsThe Continental Manchester is frequently praised for its vibrant ambiance, spacious and comfortable seating, and a well-curated menu featuring flavorful dishes and standout cocktails, particularly espresso martinis and craft lemon drop martinis. Guests appreciate the friendly and attentive service, though occasional mentions of longer wait times due to staffing shortages appear. The restaurant's efficient online reservation system enhances the overall dining experience, especially for small to medium-sized groups. The combination of quality food, strong drinks, and a welcoming atmosphere makes it a popular choice for both casual outings and special occasions, with many patrons returning for brunch and social gatherings.
We brought a party of 8 this afternoon. It was the first visit for all of us. We had a fantastic time! Our server was Morgan and she took great care of us. We used the online reservation option and it worked out wonderfully! Our food came out fast, cooked to order and was delicious! We really enjoyed our first visit. One of the kids with us, Jaxon, volunteered to be my Google Review Star with his Chicken and Waffles platter!
Overall my friends and I had a nice experience. The wait time was pretty long due to their being short-staffed. The server was pretty nice based on the circumstances.
The best espresso martinis I’ve ever had! Staff is always friendly and the food is really good! My (now) fiance and I had our first date here and we come back all the time, especially for brunch.
Came here on a friend's recommendation for lunch (with her) and was so impressed with the vibe! It's very open and bright, and the booths are comfortable and spacious. Really cool space! There's a good amount of seating, between the booths, bar, and tables. I wouldn't recommend bringing a very large group because the seating isn't very flexible, but it could accomodate groups. I got the Three Chopt Salad because I was craving something on the healthy side, and it was HUGE! Also not tossed, which caught me off guard. It looked pretty, but it was a bit tricky to mix in the bowl. I also got the broccolini, which was prepared perfectly, lightly blanched and still fresh and crunchy. My friend got the Buffalo Brussel Sprouts and let me try some and they were delicious!! Not spicy at all (I don't like spicy food) - just very crispy with the distinct buffalo flavor. I don't know how they made it so buffalo without drenching it in sauce, but they did and it was great. Highly recommend. To quote my friend, "you can't go wrong with anything on the menu" - and she works in the area so she's here a good amount. The service was excellent as well, and word on the street is that they serve a mean brunch, so, I'll be back!
The food was delicious. We ordered the kale Caesar salad with chicken, the salmon Reuben sandwich with Brussels sprouts, a small cheese pizza, fries, and lemon drop martinis. The drinks were phenomenal and strong.
Really cool spot. So much easier to get in to than the grove location, with the same food, atmosphere and better service. The club sandwich is enough for two people. The burger was also great. Nice beer selection on draft. Also some good house cocktails.
I've been here a couple times and never had anything bad. The burgers are wonderful, and they are BIG. I was especially happy with the turkey French dip, which had incredible bread! I really appreciate how large the portions are for the vegetable sides -- I ordered broccolini, expecting the typical 3 sad stalks, and was shocked to see a massive, perfectly cooked pile come out on my plate. You really can't go wrong here, it's incredible. Service is always wonderful and friendly, and the atmosphere is relaxed, clean, and cute.
My friend had the Zucchini Falafel wrap and couldn't stop raving about it. Service is always good. It's on Hull St. so expect some sirens and commotion outside, though I've never felt unsafe I'm not sure I'd hang out in the neighborhood real late. The Manchester area IS changing for the better and I hope that continues.
